Regent - 'George' Jacket - Beige Herringbone Wool/Linen 260g - Alfred Brown
Regent - 'George' Jacket - Beige Herringbone Wool/Linen 260g - Alfred Brown
Description
A sure-fire summer staple the 'George' jacket is a lightweight, herringbone blazer with a two-button, single-breasted construction. Cut from a beige-coloured wool and linen Alfred Brown cloth, the jacket ostensibly feels like linen, but the wool provides the additional structure needed to prevent creasing. The result is a summer wardrobe staple with the breathable and light feel of linen, but with less of the ironing. The herringbone pattern adds a natural hatching and slubbiness to the jacket, which just lifts the texture and depth to the jacket. Designed to be a stalwart of the summer you reach for time and again, wear with a darker pair of your favourite tailored trousers, linen shirt and perhaps a suede loafer.
The Regent block has been refined over many years, and this jacket retains the key features of our classic shape. The side seams are tailored to be a touch narrow for a contemporary, but comfortable silhouette. The slightly roomier than typical armholes allow for an ease of movement, but are compensated by slim arms and a shorter jacket length to maintain the smart, modern look. If you already have a Regent jacket then take your usual size.
